Al-Rida Community Welfare Association INC. (ACWA), is located at St Mary’s in Western Sydney. ACWA is a non-profit organisation established in 2005 by dedicated Shi‘at Australian Muslims striving to serve their growing community.

Al-Rida CWA adopted the rules for incorporated associations under the Associations Incorporation Act, 1984, which governs all aspects of its constitution and functions.

How We Originated

ACWA originated informally in 2002. Worshipers congregated at various homes every Thursday night using a rotating roster system to recite Dua Kumail. This group by the will of Allah (SWT) substantially increased in number and therefore had to seek an alternative venue in order to accommodate its growth.

In January 2005, ACWA was officially registered under the Association Incorporated Act.
