Asr prayer is identical to Dhur prayer except for the intention.

One must change the intention depending on which salat he/she wishes to perform.

Both are recited in a low voice. Males must recite the word: BISMIL LAH HIR RAHMAN NIR RAHIM for 1st and Second Rakaat out loud.

Asr prayers comes after Duhr Prays in its correct time.

Qunoot (after Second Surah in 2nd Rakat - While still standing) - This step is not compulsory but recommended. Raise your hands and bring them together in front of your face, with the palms of your hands raised up, inclined towards you and ask Allah for anything (Dua) otherwise it is recommend to read a dua from the Holy Quraan. Example: The following Dua from the Holy Quran [2:201] Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and save us from the chastisement of the fire

- WA QINA AZABAN NAR
